CROATIAN FOLLOW UP

Croatia

The activity took place for one hour on February 15, 2023, in Osijek, Croatia. The activity was attended by 14 people. The group consisted of both boys and girls aged 20 to 25. Some of them are members of Kreaktiva, Osijek, and some of them were interested in the improvisation workshop and how it can help them in the future in certain situations. For the introduction, the Croatian team explained what Erasmus+ is, why they chose this particular project, what they learned during the training and shared their experiences.

After the introduction, we did an energizer, walking through the papers. We thought it would be a very good workshop to start with because you have to think in the moment and as a team you have to improvise in order to find a solution to successfully complete the task. We also explained the connection between improvisation and social entrepreneurship. What is social entrepreneurship? What we learned about social entrepreneurship and we explained some "tricks" that we learned about during the training that can help us in the future.

The next workshop, which we connected with social entrepreneurship and improvisation, was that the participants had to come up with the worst and most useless product in 10 minutes. After they came up with it, they replaced their product with the product of the other group, and the second group had 2 minutes to find a way how and why that product is the best, not the worst. Because, there is not enough time to think, this workshop is great because it pushes you to improvise and talk in the moment. Following, we had a group discussion about improvisation, why is important to know how to improvise, why should we master that skill and many other things.

What our participants said about the program:

David:

I'am really happy that I was part of this project on Cyprus. PIMPRO really helped me to learn how to act in situations that Im not really familiar with. Also, it helped me a lot how to interact with other people, in front of everyone and get out of my comfort zone. I can say only positive things about project and about Erasmus+, participants, trainers, hotel stuff were great and only I can say is that if there will be chance I will come back to Cyprus.

Tomislav:

The Power of Improvisation project, for which I went to Cyprus at the end of November, was extremely useful for me. What from practicing spoken English, through communicating with foreign citizens to public speaking and presentations. I firmly believe that improvisation is something that each of us uses on a daily basis and we cannot live without it, in one form or another. I learned that, thrown into the fire with people from different cultures, it's just as easy to come up with something AND do improvisation as it is with someone from our fields. Apart from all this, Erasmus projects are extremely important precisely because of this intercultural connection. I recommend it to everyone and I believe that this, although my first, will not be my last project.

Martina:

I am really happy and thankful that I went to Cyprus and had an opportunity to meet some wonderful people from all around the world. This project was excellent, and I will cherish those memories forever. It was my first project, and hopefully not last, I went on this project to try and break out of my shell and communicate with many people, improvise and learn about theatre and social entrepreneurship. When I came back, I could share the knowledge I gained, in my area and try to implement some ideas into young minds on how to improve our community.

Fran:

I enjoyed every second of erasmus+ project Power of Improvisation that was held in Cyprus. During our stay in Cyprus, I've met a lot of great, positive and open-minded people from all over the Europe and I enjoyed listening to their experiences and ideas aswell as presenting mine. Project taught me that everything can be improvised as long as we have some basic knowledge about the theme that we want to improvise about. Also, I really liked how project
