THE BASIC ELEMENTS OF THE ACTIVITY

The activity will gather 36 youth workers/youth leaders/staff members and 4 trainers for a 7-day activity in November-December 2022, in Pissouri Village, Limassol, Cyprus.

Project team decided to implement the project in Limassol district as the project venue is close to the unique youth centres which are worth visiting as well as experts in social entrepreneurship and social enterprises. The hosting organisation will contribute to the project by involving experts from local youth NGOs (experienced youth workers) and arranging visits to local youth centres and social enterprises.

The general approach of the method set is based on the principles of non-formal education. The learner's experience will be in the focus of the attention and as described in the respective sections their wishes and needs will be taken duly into consideration.

Majority of the methods have a background in theatre. Specially methods that are helpful for training the skills and attitudes essential for entrepreneurship are selected. Main activities will be devoted to experiencing methods, exercises, group work and discussions. Apart from the creative and digital techniques, several non-formal education working methods will be applied to facilitate interactive discussions. To ensure a productive follow-up planning the open space method will be applied. Project program is a logically connected process and allows participants to learn and practice their new skills, apply methods, and receive feedback on their developments.

The programme is built with the following aims and educational logic:

Day 1 - Participants are getting to know each other, participate in team building activities and create a group dynamic, explore learning styles, express their feelings and contributions, dive into the topic of improvisation.

Day 2 - Participants work on the specific directions of improvisation theatre methods: dealing with fears, mistakes and fears and connection with partners

Day 3 - Participants work on concentration and spontaneity as well as visit local ancient theatre

Day 4 - Participants work on creativity and storytelling

Day 5 - Participants explore connection with improvisation and entrepreneurship and share countries' realities. Participants visit the local social entrepreneurs, participants explore the culture and history of entrepreneurship Limassol area

Day 6 - Participants learn the ENTRECOMP concept and creative tools for making decisions, practicing gained skills in open space.

Day 7 - Participants work on and present their follow up plans, evaluate their developments and celebrate the results.

The different activities are balanced and scheduled in a way that will facilitate the purpose of the training and lead to the best possible results.
